Scott Walker was inaugurated as Wisconsin's 45th Governor on January 3, 2011. Since that day, he has proposed bold reforms that have eliminated the state's $3.6 billion budget deficit without raising taxes and gave school districts and local governments the tools to balance their budgets without the massive layoffs seen in other states. Since the Governor took office, Wisconsin has jumped the rankings of best states for business. Thanks to his reforms 94 percent of job creators in Wisconsin believe the state is heading in the right direction, up from 10 percent before the Governor took office.
