Erran Persley serves as the commissioner for business development for the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development, responsible for new business attraction and existing business retention. Prior to this role, he was the executive director, International Affairs and Business Development for the cabinet, where he worked to attract foreign direct investment in Kentucky by recruiting new business and encouraging existing industries to expand. Persley holds dual master’s degrees in business administration from Georgetown University and the ESADE School of Business in Barcelona, Spain. His undergraduate work was in political science at Howard University.
