Yodle, Inc., a leader in local online marketing, announced that it will expand into a new 35,000-square-foot office located in Cambridge Corporate Center at 10101 Claude Freeman Drive. The company expects to create approximately 130 new jobs in Charlotte, doubling its current employee base in the city. The majority of new employees will be in sales with the remainder primarily working in client services positions.
“Yodle has seen significant growth in Charlotte since we first established a presence in the city in 2007,” said Michael Gordon, Yodle's chief financial officer. “With Charlotte’s talented labor pool and business friendly climate, we look forward to continued growth in the years to come.”
Yodle provides local online marketing solutions to more than 35,000 small businesses in the U.S. and Canada. The company has more than 1,100 employees in six offices across the country. Among many recent awards, Yodle was ranked No. 28 on Forbes’ list of “Most Promising Companies” in 2013. In 2012, the Charlotte Business Journal ranked Yodle No. 13 in its list of best midsize companies to work for in Charlotte.
“Yodle is changing the game by offering affordable online marketing and customer service programs to small businesses, which comprise 80 percent of the chamber’s membership base,” said Bob Morgan, Charlotte Chamber president. “As a leading edge company in an ever-changing environment, Yodle’s success serves as an example to other growing companies.”
DTZ and TRIPP Commercial jointly represented Yodle in its real estate transaction. Jones Lang LaSalle represented Mainstreet Claude Freeman, LLC, the building owner. Cambridge Corporate Center is owned through a partnership between DRA Advisors LLC and Mainstreet Capital Partners.
Yodle will host a ribbon cutting ceremony at its new office in mid-October to celebrate the company’s expansion. New positions in Charlotte will be posted on the job listings section at yodlecareers.com.
