Jan Lesher

Governor Janet Napolitano appointed Jan Lesher to serve as director of the Arizona Department of Commerce in January 2007. She previously directed the Governor’s Southern Arizona office since 2003. Jan served as vice-president of Communications and Marketing for the Tucson Economic Development Corporation, and executive director of the Tucson Community Cable Corporation. She is a former small business owner, a graduate of the University of Arizona, and was recently named the Tucson Chamber of Commerce’s Woman of the Year.
