Joel Hoiland is president and CEO of IWLA - The Association for Logistics Outsourcing, a 112 year-old trade association based in Chicago. Mr. Hoiland has spent the past 23 years working with retail, wholesale, distribution and manufacturing trade associations. As President & CEO of IWLA, he oversees a membership of more than 500 companies located around the world. Member companies operate more than 400 million square feet of warehouse space and move more than three trillion pounds of freight annually. The association maintains a Washington office to represent members interests before the United States government, it operates an education & research foundation, a purchasing services corporation (including its own insurance company), and carries out a wide range of industry marketing activities to promote the use of third-party logistics services.
