Kathy Reiss is director, research and industry analysis for the Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA). Reiss supports OESA staff and members with industry research and survey requests.
Reiss has more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry. Her career began in 1984 after graduating from Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. At OESA, Reiss has responsibility for project management activities, including the OESA Automotive Supplier Barometer, the OESA Tooling Barometer and web content within the Knowledge Center.
Prior to joining OESA, Reiss was manager of North America Advisory Services at CSM Worldwide, supporting OEMs and Tier suppliers with forecast analysis and industry studies. Her research background also includes time with IRN, Inc., as a research analyst working on ad-hoc customer studies. Reiss’ sales and program management experience comes from employment with Tier 1 automotive suppliers providing products and services to many of the OEMs. Her career started in engineering as a design engineer and CAD support staff working first at Ford Tractor Operations in Troy Mich., later moving to Ford Motor Company in Dearborn.
At OESA, Reiss has responsibility for project management activities that include council surveys, the OESA Automotive Supplier Barometer, the OESA Tooling Barometer, and web content within the Knowledge Center. Reiss also supports publication development and OESA member inquiries.
